Way back in 1992 a young Holly, began exploring her interest in cosmetics.
Experimenting with her mother's makeup palettes, she was guided by a fundamental principle: proper removal of products. This early discipline sparked her curiosity about skincare, makeup, and the seemingly glamorous beauty industry. She requested beauty textbooks as Christmas gifts and dedicated hours to recreating looks featured in Sugar and Mizz magazines. What began as a high school pastime evolved into a serious pursuit, ultimately leading her to higher education and professional qualifications in the field.
Holly relocated to Birmingham University, where she earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Salon Management. This experience marked a significant transition from her suburban upbringing, coinciding with the opening of the Bullring shopping centre.
During her time in Birmingham, she worked in a beauty room, providing deluxe facials for Sisley, a prestigious privately-owned luxury skincare brand. Subsequently, she transferred to YSL's London academy to further her education in makeup artistry.
Holly gained invaluable experience working in beauty halls across several iconic department stores, where she honed her skills in makeup application, skincare demonstrations, and training new staff members. Her career also included positions at Champneys and various local luxury spa hotels.
For nine years, she successfully operated a bridal makeup service, which she maintained until the onset of the pandemic. Following this, she established a makeup studio offering bespoke tuition to individuals and small groups. Throughout her professional journey, Holly has provided a range of services, including facials, gel nails, waxing, and lash and brow treatments, all driven by her passion for empowering women to feel their best.
Her business has been structured to accommodate her young family, and in 2024 has opened a purpose-built clinic that offers an extensive array of beauty, makeup and aesthetic services.
This initiative aims to support women in navigating the challenges of aging in 2024, particularly in the context of societal expectations influenced by social media.
Holly is a member of the industry guild, and prides herself on the personal level of investment in each and every customer, encouraging confidence and self-acceptance among her clients.
